I was able to illustrate and design a layout of an environmentally friendly cafe. The cafe captures a modern and minimalistic style that fits the work & study, as well as relaxing vibe. Instead of using plastic, a more sustainable alternative is fully recyclable lass which is not only inexpensive but also provides great environmental benefits such as contributing to mitigating climate change.
I liked the idea of a small rooftop garden to promote the growth of nature, to bring out a more serene outlook and make it more welcoming for customers. I have also added a narrow water bank around the passageway of the cafe, as a form of irrigation that distributes water to the rooftop garden and other trees around the cafe.

​I have also added LED lighting along the water bank, to add to the vibrancy of the cafe. LED lighting supports sustainability in several ways. It has low maintenance, low energy consumption and is also inexpensive. The less amount of energy produced also reduces greenhouse gas emissions and therefore is more durable.

This design consists the use of a variety of sustainable resources, such as the pine wooden floors that match along with the ceiling of the cafe. The idea of miniature plants hanging from the ceiling creates a very comforting and inviting vibe. Little lanterns that hang above the tables light up the atmosphere.
Desks attached to the glass-window panes will allow customers to work well and efficiently with the presence of natural light. Chairs will have comfortable cushioned seating to keep customers who spend more time at the cafe well rested and make them feel at home.

Here is another sketch of the cafe’s interior. I wanted the cafe to mainly serve to students and others, who are able to make use of the study-environment. Also to those who want to relax and spend many hours away, and dine in.
I still believe my level of displaying interior perspectives is still developing, and I know if were to have the opportunity to further improve my proficiency in Art and Design as a whole, it will be a unique and beneficial learning experience. I hope that my work can be considered and that I will be given the chance to grow and improve as a learner.
