My final GCSE Art piece

The process of creating this piece took a lot of effort and imagination.

These images show the step-by-step build up of the final result.

On the left, I have used photo inks and coffee to depict the imperfect fragmented world. The brick-wall effect creates more dimension. The use of mud rock for the levels of the tower create more texture and captures a more realistic view of today’s world.
I used mediums such as acrylic paints, photo colour inks, coffee, mud rock and pastry paper to bring out my desired result of the piece. I am extremely pleased with this piece, notably because of the amount of time and effort I took to complete this piece.
Experimenting with Texture

Sketches & Compositions

Planning out compositions and experimenting is an integral part for executing a successful piece. Producing various sketches allows me to grasp and understand what’s fitting for different pieces and how others can interpret the message behind the piece.
